Right pressure for the surface

The most common DIY mistake is too much pressure on the wrong surface. Brick at 3000 PSI blows mortar out of joints; cedar at 3000 PSI gouges the timber. River Valley Contracting matches the pressure to the surface.

Hot-water gas washer with chemical injection. Brick gets a low-pressure soft wash; concrete medium pressure with degreaser; cedar a fine spray with oxygen-based brightener.

Biodegradable agents. Landscaping pre-wetted and rinsed thoroughly before, during and after.

Common questions

Will pressure washing damage my mortar?

Not at the pressures River Valley Contracting uses. We soft-wash brick under 1000 PSI with chemistry doing the cleaning. DIY damage comes from 3000+ PSI contact.

Can you clean my driveway?

Yes — concrete and exposed-aggregate driveways are routine. Asphalt is rarely worth washing as it weathers naturally; sealcoat is better for asphalt.

Will it harm my plants?

No, when landscaping is pre-wetted and the cleaning agents are biodegradable. We avoid windy days.

How often should I have it done?

Driveways every 2 to 3 years; brick walls every 5 to 7; cedar siding only when visibly soiled (combine with re-stain).

Can you remove graffiti?

Often yes, with specialty graffiti remover plus hot water. Multiple passes may be needed on unsealed brick.

Do you do windows too?

Ground-level windows are included free when on site. Upper-storey by pure-water pole rather than ladder for safety and streak-free finish.
